Villasimius was once a small village of fishermen and shepherds, but, since the 60s, there has been a substantial boost to tourism, until it became one of the most popular holidays centre in Southern Sardinia, not far from others important tourist destinations such as Costa Rei and Castiadas.The old town offers many pubs, shops and restaurants, while penetrating through the narrow streets, it is not difficult to find small workshops, which present pretty local products.
